Alex Ross has a great article in the NYer on Morton Feldman

AMERICAN SUBLIME
Morton Feldman’s mysterious musical landscapes

I post this on MMM for a few reasons:

- MF used microtonality, if sparingly and obliquely
- the article is really, really fine
- there has been a lot of discussion on composing recently, and MF's various commentaries and remarks on composing, music, and art are vital and inspiring

I hope you find some inspiration as well, and maybe some music will come of it. I've often thought that if I could write a microtonal parallel to "Rothko Chapel", I'd die a happy person.

Cheers,
Jon
