just came from a robert rich concert in philly...

Unbelieveable JI concert. He played seemlessly through lots of groovy
and melodic stuff from 'Seven Veils', 'Rainforest', 'Propagation',
'Gaudi', 'Lithosphere', & 'Electric Ladder', with his pvc & wooden
flutes, lap steel guitar w/sustainer, keyboards, and hardware motm
synthesizer. He even did some wierd stuff from Beastiary. He also
had a beautiful film playing overhead at the same time that made me
think of Dave McKean's 'MirrorMask'. The film should come out on dvd
later. In the 2nd half he had some kind of lasers going overhead.
One of the best concerts I've seen. He got lots of applause. And it
was in a small church no less.
