Well, that's plenty clear!

Me like. Reminds me of Thinking Plague. I haven't listened
to them all yet.

Very cool -- listening now -- I like the throbbing sound motive... and
the jerky unpredictable drum part -- and the sonic imaging is superb.

I'll write about the others when I hear them, but if they are as good
as this, it's very promising indeed!

I wish I were able to smoke a giant doobie and listen to this, but I'm
about to be a daddy, so that would be a no-no....

BTW, how much is the singer trying to match the scale in the
instruments (which is what BTW?)

Best,
Aaron.

This was a reference to a thread on metatuning. Half the
time, I can't figure out which tracks Dan wants us to download.

Hmmm . . . I don't know about that. It sounds very "raw" to me, but I imagine that was intended, certainly adds to the "raw" effect in general.
Cool.

Aw, man, your stuff is sounding sooo cool! I *really* enjoyed these, from the lo-tech sound treatments (very direct vocals) to your tremendous solos. Is this from some upcoming album, or just more of your life-long "works in progress"?

Damn, another great lick just went by! I'm putting these in the mp3 player for my evening walk Right Now.

Cheers,
Jon

Yes, sorry.I've been putting up and taking down pieces in a dervish
lately as I recently archived over 40 cdrs from cassette consisting
of well over 200 pieces .So just this weekend I've decided to format
a few sites, microtonal, freejazz, etc etc. And yesterday I started
this new plan with a brand new "academic/"(i.e., NO ROCK) type
microtonal music page.

http://zebox.com/danstearns_2/

but this page is really just me, 1) describing the pieces rather than
titling them, and 2) sort of fantasizing what I'd do if some obscure
microtonal label/chamber ensemble came to me and wanted a record or
material for concerts .And as microtonality has been a big part of my
life for the last 15 years or so, I'm really quite proud to compile
(and keep curating and rotating etc) all this material here and I
think some of is so rare as to be like its only species of it in the
worldΒ—like the 11-tone equal temperament Ives' homage .There are some
serious pieces here that I put a lot of work into at one point or
another, and I have no problem holding them before my peers as one
example of what I do , enjoy!
