Yaayyyy.

The judges have released the Interval of Honor for today: 17/13. More details at
xenharmonic.wikispaces.org/MMMDay06

Exactly one hour from now, 3-5 p.m. central standard time, I will have my weekly radio show
at KTRU (www.ktru.org - listenable via the web), and I will play even More Microtonal Music
than I normally do, including the second half of Hába's quartertone opera "Matka."

Soundfile(s) of 17-tone acoustic pianos forthcoming...

you....

To misquote: "Verily, verily, shall I sing now ...".
If you think me cucckoo, take up Jacob's (newest)
challenge, and learn to sing 17/13!

Hey, I don't even remember that interval being
proposed! Was that off-list? And what was the
rationale (heh) for it?

I'm sorry I didn't get to demonstrate my nomination,
pi/3, by retuning Dave Seidel's piece early enough to
start swaying hearts and minds. Still, I *suppose* it
was a fair fight, so I shouldn't grumble like a sore
loser ... ;-) Tho I might say that using *anonymous*
judges to choose the interval to honour is, possibly,
a trifle, well ... dishonorable? ... I won't!

No, I promised to try to sing 17/13, and I shall.

[Exit, stage left]
"Se-ven-teen on thir-teen,
Se-ven-teen on thir-ir-teen,
Se-ven-teen on thir-ir- teeeeeeen!
All the live-long day ..."

Regards,
Yahya
