MMMday update

MMM day is going to happen, and it's going to happen around April 7,
or thereabouts. A celebration of what happens every day.

So we want to get lots and lots of music recorded for a
giganto-podcast. You're all invited to submit, of course, and if you
can get your friends to MMM for a day too, all the better. (And hey,
technically you don't have to do it that day if you're going to be
busy, just submit it by then.)

I want to get an idea of how many / who many can participate, so if
you're interested, go to http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com/MMMDay06
and add your name to the list. Just click the "Edit" button and go,
it's that simple. (And if you like the idea of a microtonal wiki,
stick around!)

Maybe I should cross-post this to tuning, huh?

I assumed it had been called off for lack of interest. I've heard
exactly zero comments to the effect that someone has submitted
something. Had I thought anyone cared, I might have done so.

Geeeeez, that short a notice!!! I'll do my best to get something happening, but for those with bizzy-buzzy lives, this ain't a cakewalk! :)

Okay-dokay.

Cheers,

No way! Mine too! Does that make it any easier for people? If you have a Saturday?

As for lack of interest, there was no real way to gauge interest until people sign up...

And my half birthday. Have been dry for a while, but I'll throw

It won't be my birthday at all. And I bet it won't be David Beardsley's birthday either.

There's Howard Hanson of Wahoo, Nebraska. If you recall the end of
Alien, Hanson's second symphony plays comfortingly in the background.
I favor the guy because he once went on tour with my great uncle Gustav.

Gustav Holmquist, a well-known regional draw in the Chicago area in
the teens and early twenties as a baritone, enough so that RCA
released a couple of records. Like most long dead performing artists
besides the most famous, now completely lapsed into obscurity.
Googling turned up only one reference.
