I think this is an example where people might not even notice that it's "out of tune" . . . in this genre, they use a lot of samples that are wierdly tuned anyway, so I don't think anybody would complain about the tuning.

They might complain about the retro sounds, but then again . . they might love them :)

I may try that; score using all those funky techno MIDI instruments.

At my one live performance as a pure laptop musician, nobody noticed I
was not using 12tET - FM7 was set to Harrison 16-tone JI tuning.

You can use filters on analog synthesizers already like a simple
harmonics instrument. One SH101 I had the batteries ruined some
circuits so that VCO was about all that was left, but it could be
tuned dividing octaves into microtones, not very reliably and without
much variety in sound.
