Experimental instruments

Experimental music brings to mind temporary apparatus with speculative
results more than scientific process. The nice instruments from Neil
reminded me, from the two instruments in the foreground in this
picture the middle one has experimental design and materials (it is
more or less completed, I think a successful experiment) but the left
one doesn't.
