With much trepidation, I've uploaded a song of my own. My composition,
my keyboard playing, my singing, and my tuning. Even my own reverb
in the digital realm. You'll see why I haven't hit the top of the
charts! ;->

Warning: sad love song; weeping may occur. In case you feel inspired to
send letters of sympathy, know that the girl in question was from long
ago.

The sparseness of the arrangement (voice and very bare piano part)
reflects both my own instrumental abilities and also a certain taste on
my part; I think most would find it excessively spare. At least the
tuning of the chords (adaptive 7-lim) is brought to the forefront.

I put this up as Hdi.mp3 on:

I know I've been accused of the same thing, but I think the vocals are
mixed a tad too low.

I like the piano!

(I checked my Fleetwood Mac cover for comparison and it's very wrong. Did
I upload it like that? I wonder what happened. It sounded okay at home.)

Well, I hope you get over her eventually ...

I wouldn't call it "very bare". See if you can get hold of Memories of a
Colour. It's generally a good thing to have, and will also help you to
recalibrate. Probably not released in America, so the best link I have is

Thanks to everyone who listened to and commented on my li'l song. Now I
really feel as if I've performed a necessary "initiation ritual" for
full group membership. ;-)

I do have a piece up on the Tuning Punks, "Dance Bittersweet", in
adaptively tuned solo piano.

I've assigned myself to try to write a humorous piece, inspired by Mel
Brooks and Jay Williams. We could all use a smile now and again!

Thanks again, everyone.
