Great buddy. Thanks for posting this. Now I've got to get off my fat ass
and make it happen. Argh. :)

We've just started planning the thing at this point.
But there will surely be an electronic "tape" music component, and stuff
like installations would be welcome.

Some ideas we've had include:

1) a concert of harpsichord music (short piece for 1 tuning, Aaron
suggested 12-out-of-22. I don't care except that I'd prefer one of the
less subtle tunings--i.e. one that people can hear)

2) "Microfest" can be confused with microbreweries . . which is a
good thing for PR! So we were thinking of having a concert of
electronic/DJ/(Installations?) stuff at a microbrewery somewhere in
Chicago.

3) Probably 1 or to concerts in a hall (possibly at Northwestern or
in that 'hood) with an assortment of stuff. . .homemade instruments,
electronics with video, etc. etc.

Other ideas welcome.

Well, I'm the one with the fatter ass. I'm been going on and on about this
dream to my inner circle of friends and family for a long time, and having
you as a partner in crime finally made me accountable to doing something--a
good thing. This way, it'll be a reality. Most of the time, I would tend to
procrastinate on such a large project with no clear plan-I'm not a managemant
type at heart. :)

I have a few different 12-out-of-22 scales I've used for music, plus
one I haven't (but which Jon S. found with my name on it and . . .).
If you're interested and haven't found them in Scala, I'd be happy to
share them with you.
