Hi Paul,

Not sure when I'll get round to looking at the method.

First impression from Manuel's code is that it wouldn't take
that much work to program, though translating code
from Ada to C is probably more work than re-coding
it again, unfortunately, especially if one doesn't know Ada
or Pascal.

Maybe when working on the chord recognition in FTS 1.10
would be a suitable time if you still want the results, and it hasn't
been done by then, as I'll want to take a closer look at your
ideas (and Sethares as well of course), especially if the
search for consonant diads / triads etc. idea seems to be working well using the
basic Helmholtz approach that I'll start with.

Meanwhile if anyone wants to do the c-code, I can
do the Windows shell quickly.

I've outlined what needs to be done (check for a global
variable, and save results to file when it changes, as
program is about to exit, etc etc)

One would also need to design a nice distinctive icon
to use so that one can easily see the shortcut on the
desktop to click on it, and any bitmap of 32 by 32 pixels is fine as
I can them make it into an icon in MSVC.
