mclaren, Hegel, bagel

I found the recent big mclaren post to be particularly valuable. I
had never thought of Schoenberg in the context of the larger German
history and of the Hegelian dialectic... the "progress" of music and
so forth.

This was a very valuable post for me. As usual, with mclaren's
style, we take the "good, the bad and the ugly" but, all in all, this
was engrossing and valuable reading...
