electronic interventions - not appropriate!

Please Folks!

The internet is not the place to hold an intervention!
(whether or not one is necessary)

Interventions need to be done in private, face to face,
with one's closest friends and family.

I have never seen any evidence that would even suggest
that an intervention done in a public internet forum
would be appropriate, effective, or even legal. It
could cause serious psychological damage as well as
being a serious breach of privacy.

Such a thing should always been done under the guidance
of a qualified and licensed counselor.
